Debra Yoshimura

I took a mosaic class three years ago after retiring as the Albuquerque City Auditor, and I was hooked! The process of creating mosaics is both challenging and relaxing for me. The variety of materials that

can be used is limitless, leading me to pick up bits and pieces of ephemera at home and as I travel.

My materials include glass tiles, mirrors, broken china, rocks, and anything else that catches my eye.

There are so many beautiful mosaic pieces in New Mexico and around the world.  I am constantly inspired by the work of others and seek out opportunities to view mosaic art whenever possible.
